I just came across an article that really underlines my point about the places to go in the future being those places where respect for private property is at a high level and increasing. Here's the link:

This PhD candidate did a study of the economic freedom index for 37 poor countries and correlated their economic growth over the last 40 years or so. The result?

There was a pretty much perfect correlation. The freest countries economically did the best economically. Remember, all government interference is one form or another of the theft of private property.
